Took the boat back to Bonville (suckers), had a quietish morning on the water - but caught a few fish. I tested out my new reel, quite different to the old baitcaster - and was beginning to enjoy the new toy when I produced a very decent birdsnest, as I wasn't too delicate in trying to undo it I made it worse ... much worse ... epic fail! So the new toy was put aside until next time - still a virgin reel.
Geoff ended up catching only 1 fish, a decent size flattie which he kept for dinner. I caught 3 fish - 2 very small flatties and jagged a small bream. As mine were all undersize, Geoff increased his lead ... the bastard.
So what does the sign say Enz?
'a place of plenty'! hardly! time to rename the creek.
