Bonville - Sun 14 Aug 2011

Back to Bonville for a morning session. Got on the water just after 8am, Geoff had got there a little earlier - putting in the boat and picking up a couple of fish.

We headed up the creek, to the railway bridge and steadily drifted down as the high tide passed around 8.30'ish. Worked the snags but was fairly quiet. My first flattie - nice size snapped me off ...doh! Got another in the boat though at 41cm. Geoff then picked up his own good size flattie (maybe 50cm or so) while I was snagged and he dropped it before he got it in the boat, this begun a tireless string of excuses and blame-shifting attempts which didn't stick! This was proven a number of times later in the session as a number of other fish were dropped before landing them. The boy hs no technique!!!

However he did get another in the boat - 37cm, which I subsequently trumped with another 41cm lizard.

A storm started to brew and the wind picked up some more so we called it quits.

Got off the water around 1.30pm.

Not too bad a session for Bonville!

One up for the session for me and the tournament once again tied.
